Welcome to Vessel Assist Cabo a marine assistance and towing service operated by Marine Group Boat Works (MGBW) in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
By accessing our website or purchasing a Vessel Assist Cabo membership, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
Membership Eligibility
Vessel Assist Cabo memberships are available to owners and operators of recreational vessels operating within our designated service area. Membership benefits are linked to the registered vessel listed on your membership form and are not transferable to other boats or individuals.
Membership Coverage
A Vessel Assist Cabo membership provides on-water towing assistance, fuel delivery, and jump-starts, for the registered vessel within a 20-mile radius of San Jose del Cabo.
Coverage includes:
- 24/7/365 dispatch and emergency response, response time can vary based on availability
- On-the-water towing to the nearest safe harbor or dock
- Dock-to-dock towing (as determined by dispatch availability)
- Fuel delivery, and battery jump-start services
Membership Fee & Duration
- The annual membership fee is $450 USD per vessel ($8200 MXN), valid for one year from the date of payment.
- Fees are non-refundable once services have been activated or used.
- Vessel Assist Cabo membership will automatically renew unless the boat owner cancels the membership
Service Limitations
- Vessel Assist Cabo provides towing and assistance for vessels not in immediate peril and not involving salvage operations.
- Salvage operations (e.g., sinking, hard grounding, fire, or hazardous recovery) are not covered under the membership and will incur separate charges.
- Assistance may be delayed or unavailable during extreme weather or unsafe sea conditions.
- Vessel Assist Cabo memberships are only valid for boats 50’ in length or less.
Member Responsibilities
Members must:
- Ensure that all vessel information provided at the time of registration is accurate and current.
- Maintain proper safety equipment and vessel registration as required by law.
- Contact the Vessel Assist Cabo dispatch center directly for assistance (do not arrange third-party services).
Payment Terms
- All payments are processed securely through our approved payment provider (Stripe).
- Vessel Assist Cabo does not store or share credit card information.
- By submitting payment, you authorize the company to charge the stated membership fee to your card.
Cancellation Policy
Memberships may be canceled at any time and will be refunded in full. Once active or once any assistance service has been rendered, the membership is non-refundable.
Liability Disclaimer
Vessel Assist Cabo and Marine Group Boat Works are not liable for:
- Any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from delays, weather, or conditions beyond our control.
- Loss or damage to personal property, equipment, or cargo during towing or assistance operations. Our responsibility is limited solely to the services provided under the membership agreement.
- Damage to towed vessel.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and only collect personal information necessary to manage your membership and provide towing or assistance services. Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
Amendments
Vessel Assist Cabo reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of those updates.
